Report a correction

If a specification here is wrong, out of date, or attributed to the wrong document, we want to know. Accuracy matters more than looking infallible.

What to report

Wrong specifications. A figure that does not match the manufacturer's current documentation. If you can point at the document, that is ideal.

Out-of-date products. A model that has been discontinued, superseded, or revised in a way that changes its specifications.

Broken or moved sources. Manufacturers reorganise their sites constantly. If a source link on a product page no longer reaches the document it cites, that is worth telling us.

Misattributed claims. If we have recorded something as a manufacturer statement that the manufacturer does not actually make, that is the most serious kind of error on this site and we will fix it first.

Unsupported judgements. If a rating or a recommendation does not follow from the facts on the page, tell us. The rules are published precisely so that this is checkable.

How to report it

Email [email protected] with:

  • the page URL
  • what is wrong
  • what it should be
  • a link to the source, if you have one

For manufacturers and retailers

If you represent a manufacturer and something here misrepresents your product, we will correct it on the strength of your own published documentation. We do not require a relationship, an agreement, or anything in return.

We will not remove accurate criticism, and we will not add claims we cannot source — including performance claims that appear only in marketing copy. What we will do is make sure the specifications are right and the attribution is honest.

How corrections are handled

Product data lives in one record per product with a source recorded against each specification. A correction is made at that record, which means every page that uses the figure — product page, comparison, buying guide, setup recommendation — changes at the same time. There is no possibility of a stale figure surviving on a page we forgot about.

When a specification changes materially, the product's verification date is updated. When it does not, the date is left alone. We do not refresh dates to look current.

What we cannot help with

We do not offer repair advice, warranty support or purchasing assistance, and we have no relationship with any manufacturer that would let us escalate a service issue. For those, contact the manufacturer directly.
